Learning to be comfortable with not knowing

You don’t need to know why someone did that thing or didn’t do that thing. You don’t need to know what they think about you or how they feel about you. In many cases, it doesn’t matter. The only thing it’s doing is feeding our insecurities and self-limiting beliefs. It doesn’t mean being willfully ignorant of things. What I mean is there are some things that you won’t ever know and don’t need to know. They won’t benefit you in any way to know if this person did this thing because of this or that.

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do for yourself is to let yourself just not know and be okay with not knowing. Because ultimately there are many things you can’t change even if you do know the reason behind it. So let go of your need of having to try and control everything, because you can’t and it’s just going to drive you crazy in the long run. Once again, just be comfortable with just not knowing. It doesn’t make you stupid or weak to not know, it makes you human. And it just means that there are other things in life that you need to focus more of your attention on.
